11/23/06 - Happy Thanksgiving!

11/22/06 - Madonna’s "Confessions Tour- Live From London" airs today on NBC.

11/07/06 - Madonna’s new single from her “Confessions on a Dancefloor” album titled “Jump” (amazing upbeat dance track) is released today. The maxi-single features a new song titled “History”.

11/05/06 - Visiting with Billy Joel Tribute Artist, Michael John.

11/02/06 - Happy Birthday to my buddy Stacey Piersa!

October 2006

10/31/06 - Halloween

10/25/06 - As a kid I was a big fan of the Portland-based group “Nu Shooz” who were famous for their song titled “I Can’t Wait”. Today I will be meeting Valerie Day and John Smith (together, they are Nu Shooz) in Downtown Portland. Click here for information. [Click here to view a picture.]

10/17/06 - JoJo’s follow-up to her debut self-titled album titled “The High Road” is released today. Also coming out today, brilliant comedian Wanda Sykes’ new stand-up DVD titled “Sick and Tired” (which taped in Seattle earlier this year).

10/13/06 - My friend and longtime Paula Abdul fan, Michael Sandy died today in New York after being violently attacked. [Click Here to read more]

September 2006

9/27/06 - Rumor has it that Dannii Minogue has a new single coming out in November from her “Hits and Beyond” compilation... I’m speculating that the new single will be the standout track “Love Fight” which if you remember when her Hits album first debuted, I stated “Love Fight” should be a single release.

Michael Cretu’s sixth Enigma album, “A Posteriori” is absolutely amazing... it’s different... very electronic, sounds futuristic, yet still mysterious and genius as Enigma has always been. The album contains some of the most beautiful music I have heard in a long time.

Janet Jackson’s new album, “20 Years” is out... the single “So Excited” is the only standout track on the entire record. The song features a up and coming rapper called Khia who threw a tantrum when a rumor surfaced stating that the track she recorded with Janet (“So Excited”) wouldn’t make it onto the final album... which obviously it did. I was kinda turned off by her attitude. Thankfully, Janet held a contest and had fans submit designs for the cover of her new album... ultimately four different designs were chosen and used.

As you know, I’m a big fan of The Muppets, so naturally I purchased a copy of Kevin Clash’s biography titled “My Life as a Furry Red Monster: What Being Elmo Has Taught Me About Life, Love and Laughing Out Loud” which is amazing... I highly recommend this book... Kevin’s kind heart and the stories he shares really connected with me and made me cry. :)

I heard Britney Spears is recording a song with her husband Kevin Federline for his upcoming album... please tell me it isn’t true! Britney we all still love you, but lets face it... Kevin is never going to be a singer or a rapper with commercial appeal... so let it go and get back to singing on your own!

In other news, Kayla passed her provisional driving test today and gets her learners permit! :) Since we’ve arrived home I’ve created a DVD of our trip to Disney World earlier this month. Let me know if you would enjoy a copy.

9/25/06 - Janet Jackson’s “20 Years Old” album released today. Here’s hoping it’s better than the single “Call On Me”. The artwork I’ve seen is terrible. I also hope they change it before the release date.

The brand new Enigma 6 album titled “A Posteriori” is released today.
The track listing looks very promising...

1.Eppur Si Muove 3.39
2.Feel Me Heaven 4.53
3.Dreaming Of Andromeda 4.27
4.Dancing with Mephisto
5.Northern Lights 3.34
6.Invisible Love 5.06
7.Message From IO 3.09
8.Hello And Welcome 5.07
9.20.000 Miles Over The Sea 4.22
10.Sitting On The Moon 4.21
11.The Alchemist 4.40
12.Goodbye Milky Way 5.56

9/19/06 - I bought Justin Timberlake’s “FutureSex/LoveSounds” album today and it’s easy to understand why his album debuted #1 on Billboard... I really like the track titled “My Love” featuring T.I. & Timbaland.

9/10/06 - Flying back to Portland.

9/8/06 - Light-heavyweight boxer Richard “Dick” Wagner, my Uncle, passed away today at the age of 79 a month before his 80th birthday. Click here to read the article and to see pictures of us boxing.

9/5/06 - Happy Birthday to Me! [Gift Ideas]

9/4/06 - Labor Day. The “Crocodile Hunter”, Steve Irwin passes away today. Rest in peace. You will be missed.

9/3/06 - Kayla and I leave for DisneyWorld!

August 2006

8/30/06 - Kayla and I went to the Oregon Zoo today and spent almost five hours there. We had a good time. We love it there and are going to get a yearly membership since we’re frequent visitors.

Finally, I’m not impressed with Janet Jackson’s new single, titled “So Excited” and think it was released because of the misunderstanding between Virgin Records and Khia from earlier in the year. Not too impressed at all.

I really like “The Things You Say” by Cicada and JoJo’s “A Little, Too Late” and need we mention Panic! At The Disco? Amazing!.

8/26/06 - Spending the weekend in Medford, OR with friends Steve & Dorathy.

8/25/06 - I was thrilled to learn today that NBC announced the network will broadcast "Madonna: The Confessions Tour Live" - a two-hour special set to air in November 2006. The special will be taped this summer at Wembley Arena in London, UK during her worldwide sold-out 25-city "Confessions Tour" and marks the first-ever broadcast network performance by the international pop superstar. Her “Reinvention Tour” was originally slated to appear on CBS but the deal fell through, which is why I was happy to see it released on DVD as the “I’m Going To Tell You A Secret” Live CD/DVD set. HOPEFULLY, Warner Bros. will release the "Confessions Tour" with both CD and DVD options... this tour was definitely worthy of both releases!

8/24/06 - Completed a web site for Purple Iris Weddings and Events.

8/22/06 - Paris Hilton’s “Paris” album released today... which from what I’ve been hearing should be a good record. I’m so tired of hearing everyone say that she can’t sing... simple because of who she is. Despite being “Paris Hilton” her album doesn’t sound half-bad considering the *crap* that’s playing on the radio right now.

8/20/06 - Attended Kayla’s cousin Deena’s wedding.

8/18 to 8/19/06 - Kayla and I went on a road trip to Pine Hollow, OR to visit her Grandfather for the weekend. Bought Paris Hilton’s “Turn It Up” Maxi Single and Madonna’s CD/DVD set “I’m Going To Tell You A Secret” featuring live concert tracks from her Reinvention Tour. Very impressed! Hopefully Warner Bros will release her “Confessions...” tour on CD and DVD too!

8/16/06 - I was sad to hear that Dannii Minogue’s recent album, “The Hits & Beyond” sold a disappointing 749 copies in Australia. However, I am not really surprised. First, the songs were not all that great in comparison to her last album “Neon Nights”. Second, the singles were not the best. “I Can’t Sleep At Night” should have been released a single... “Perfection” should not have been. I think if “I Can’t Sleep At Night” would have been released the album wouldn’t have stalled *as much*. Third, Dannii’s last album, “Neon Nights” resurrected her music career. Clearly this is the musical style and the direction the public wanted from Dannii... totally ignored on “Hits & Beyond” which brings me to my last point... it was too early in her music career, especially after the success of her last album to release a Greatest Hits record. Now Dannii’s taking time off from music to focus on radio broadcasting and acting again...

Finishing work on a web site for Purple Iris Weddings & Events. I’ll let you know when it’s available for you to see. :)

8/12/06 - Check out Kayla’s new web site by clicking here.

8/1/06 - “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 5 out on DVD today! :)

July 2006

7/16/06 - Flying back to Portland

7/15/06 - Attending a Wedding in Las Vegas

7/13/06 - Flying to Las Vegas

7/08/06 - Watched “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” today and I honestly think the story was overdone and drawn-out in areas... too many fight scenes in this one, the magic and wit of Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow seems to be missing from the sequel... the last 5 minutes of the film was the best... with that said, I’m looking forward to the third installment next summer.

7/05/06 - Happy Birthday Carlos!

7/04/06 - Happy 4th of July

7/01/06 - Believe it or not I am working on rebuilding this web site. I’ve been busy with several other projects, and am working on this site in-between them.

I’m looking forward to watching “The Devil Wears Prada” and the upcoming smash “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest”...

I’m a little disappointed with Janet Jackson right now. Her new song titled “Weekend” (a gift from her to her fans) was removed from her official web-site due to lack of fan-interest in the song, also promising it wouldn’t appear on her new album titled “20 Years Old”.

Her single “Call On Me” which features Nelly is absolutely horrible... worse than “Weekend” in my opinion. Don’t ask me how after its first full week of airplay, "Call On Me" became the highest debut on the R&B airplay charts in seven years (Billboard Chart Alert).

I’m a big Janet Jackson fan and have all of her albums, videos, ect but the quality of her music is diminishing with each album since the “Velvet Rope”.

With “Call On Me” I was expecting her collaboration with Jermaine Dupri to be as equally impressive as his collaboration with Mariah Carey, but now after hearing “Call On Me” I am beginning to wonder if Jermaine Durpi’s magic is starting to fade...

Bottom line: the song “Call On Me” is not a hit... its too slow, breathy and not very interesting. Paris Hilton’s new song “Stars Are Blind” is a much, much better song, if you’re not busy criticizing her for who she is and the fact she’s not a professional musician.

Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson are rumored to sing a duet together on '20 Years Old' which should prove to be interesting, and I am interested to hear Janet’s collaboration with Snoop Dogg on his upcoming record...

Dannii Minogue’s new album “The Hits and Beyond” released on June 19th. My only complaint besides the bonus DVD being in PAL format, is I think it was a little premature to release a Greatest Hits album given the success of her last record. That, and after hearing all of the songs she’s recorded with AATW Records, their single choices were terrible. “I Can’t Sleep At Night” should have been a single; AATW was on the right track... they filmed a video for it.
Also, I think “Love Fight” is an incredible track.

Paul Oakenfold’s track “Faster Kill Pussycat” featuring actress Brittany Murphy is incredible and Oakenfold’s collaboration with Grandmaster Flash on “Set It Off” is HOT HOT HOT!

I highly recommend the track “Can’t Sleep” by Above and Beyond.

June 2006

6/23/06 - Saw “Click” with Adam Sandler... its was pretty good. It was slow in some parts, but it heated up towards the end. :)

6/19/06 - Happy Birthday Paula!

6/17/06 - Housewarming Party, our place at 6pm.

6/10/06 - Went to the Portland Rose Festival all day long...

6/07/06 - Flew back to Portland

6/06/06 - Attend Madonna’s “Confession’s Tour” Floor Seats! Hands down the best concert I’ve ever been to! Madonna brought the house down and performed without lip-synching for 2 hours straight, only disappearing from the stage twice (I think) to take a quick break... she sang the entire “Confessions” album live, along with some of her hit songs... the Music Inferno section was my favorite... she blended her hit song “Music” with “Disco Inferno” and it was incredible! The “Erotica” performance wasn’t a great as it could have been, but she blew me away with “Hung Up”... “Future Lovers” was a great entrance song! I hope Warner releases this tour on DVD.

6/03/06 - Flew to Fresno

April 2006

4/21/06 - I heard Paul Oakenfold’s amazing new dance track titled “Faster Kill Pussycat” featuring vocals by actress Brittany Murphy. When I first learned that she had recorded the vocals for this song I couldn’t actually believe it was her singing... she sounds that good! I highly recommend you visit iTunes and download this track today!

3/19/06 - Watched “She’s the Man” starring Amanda Bynes for the second time in 3 days. Once again the critics and I disagree on this one but I think Amanda did an AWESOME job acting in this movie and I highly recommend it... like I said... I’ve already seen it twice!

05/23/05 - Flew to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

05/20/05 - After seeing the preview today, I don’t think the new Bewitched movie is going to be very good. I think Jim Carey would have made a better Darrin. Will Ferrell was cast as Darrin instead. In my opinion, big mistake... nonetheless I’m sure the movie will do well at the box office.

05/19/05 - Looking forward to the new Batman Begins movie and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie with Johnny Depp.

05/17/05 - Kylie Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer today and had to cancel her tour. Get well soon Kylie!

05/10/05 - Happy Mother’s Day

April 2005

04/20/05 - My hottie was kicked off America’s Next Top Model tonight! What’s up with that? Tatiana was the most gorgeous girl on that show! She took my breathe away. I think they made a big mistake letting her go. Side note: Janice Dickinson cracks me up! I’m definitely going to have to meet her someday.

04/14/05 - OH MY GOD SHE’S PREGNANT! Britney Spears, I love ya but— what were you thinking?

04/02/05 - My records arrived today! I bought Mona Lisa Young’s record from 1983 called “Knife” today. I had the record transferred to CD. It is amazing! Mona Lisa is responsible for the background vocals on many many songs... the woman has AMAZING vocals!

I had heard Mona’s name before and seen her credited on many tracks but I’d never actually heard her sing solo until February. If you listen to “Bend Time Back Around” by Paula Abdul you can hear Mona Lisa in the background. :)

04/01/05 - Happy Birthday Jerry! We’re celebrating early okay.

March 2005

03/29/05 - Between B-sides and Unreleased Tracks, Kylie Minogue has an INSTANT HIT ALBUM (think “Fever” all over again) sitting on the shelves inside Parlophone.

With each passing day I am becoming convinced that Parlophone has lost their magic touch with Kylie. I have 5 tracks I will use for example, which are the makings of an INCREDIBLE Kylie album...

Why on earth would they release a “Greatest Hits” album when they have 6 hits (listed below) just begging to be released?

I mean, “Made of Glass” is such a PERFECT single, that it has already shot up the radio-play charts in the UK... and it’s a b-side!

I’m sure you’ll agree with me.

  • Giving You Up (released as a single off “Ultimate Kylie”)
  • Made of Glass (B-side of “Giving You Up” single)
  • I Know (unreleased song)
  • I’m Just Here For The Music (unreleased song)
  • My Image Unlimited (unreleased song)
  • B.P.M. (released B-side of “I Believe in You” single)

03/28/05 - Kylie Minogue’s single for “Giving You Up” is released today. The single features the unreleased track “Made of Glass”, which was recorded during the Brian Higgins (Xenomania) sessions for Ultimate Kylie.

03/27/05 - Happy Easter. Today my Uncle turned me on to two groups... one being Soul Ballet, and the other Praful. Absolutely beautiful music... mellow, Enigma-like, a little jazzy. Very cool!

03/25/05 - My brother Todd comes home from Iraq.

03/19/05 - Kylie’s “Show Girl” Tour kicks off today in Glasgow (UK).

03/17/05 - Happy St. Patricks Day! ~ Happy Birthday Andy!

03/13/05 - My copy of Mark Morrison’s “Just A Man” album (formerly titled “Innocent Man” arrived today. Click here for my review.

03/03/05 - I watched Kylie Minogue’s video for “Giving You Up” and it’s so incredibly boring. The song is so awesome and upbeat and the music video just doesn’t do it justice. Even though the video sucks, I still think the song will go #1 in the UK and Australia.

February 2005

02/17/05 - An amazing thing happened to me today... I was able to spend a few minutes talking with legendary producer Oliver Leiber. Oliver is the genius behind Paula Abdul’s hits “Opposites Attract”, “The Way That You Love Me” and “Forever Your Girl”.

02/14/05 - Happy Valentines Day! Also, Mark Morrison’s new album titled “Just A Man” is released today in the UK on 2Wikid Records.

January 2005

01/27/05 - Once again Paula’ Abdul’s big comeback is making news.
This news story breaks every year during American Idol. I mean, this is the 2nd time in 3 years she’s said she’s working on a comeback album with Randy Jackson. What people seem to forget is that she’s been talking about a new album since 1997... eight years later, still nothing. Come on now, within the last 3-4 years both Tiffany AND Debbie Gibson have put out new albums— during the height of Paula’s reign she outsold them both. A release date for Paula’s rumored album is scheduled for mid-2005. I won’t believe it until I see it.

01/26/05 - More news about Britney Spears’ new album... looks like Britney’s been working on some new songs. Here are the titles of the songs I found: Mona Lisa (Max Martin, Rami and T. Riley) Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?, In My Place, You’re The Boss, You Bring Me Joy, Free (Britney Spears, Guy Chambers, Cathy Dennis), Giving It Up For Love (Scott Storch, Britney Spears, Kara Dioguardi, Rob Waller), Hollow (Bloodyshy, Cathy Dennis, Britney Spears), Sacred (B. Spears, Guy Chambers, Cathy Dennis), and for the first time ever Britney is rumored to be singing a version of ‘Cómo Hablar’ from Amaral in Spanish!

01/25/05 - Looks like Mariah Carey’s new album has been bumped back another month. Now it’s scheduled for April 12th. I’m still not sure I’m going to buy it.

01/19/05 - I watched Britney Spears video for “Do Somethin” today. The song is absolutely amazing, but the video is not quite as good as I had hoped... it’s kinda cheesy but I can’t complain... the last minute and a half of the video is awesome.

01/15/05 - I heard Mariah Carey’s new single today. It’s called “It’s Like That”... and the song features Jermaine Dupri and Fat Man Scoop-- which is from Carey's upcoming album currently titled the “Emancipation Of Mimi” due out on March 22. A couple of things come to mind here... first Mariah, I love you, I really do, but you need to wake up and start seeing reality for what it really is: first you need to realize that the people who put you on top didn’t put you there because you were collaborating with rap stars. They put you there because you could sing and sing well! Yes, your songs like “Honey” and “Heartbreaker were great, but it was a fluke thing. I think you’ve lost your vision... or maybe the magic was largely the doing of Columbia Records. If you would have told me ten years ago that Mariah would be collaborating with Snoop Dogg, Nelly and Pharrell Williams from N.E.R.D. – I would have laughed at you. And what the hell type of a name is “Emancipation Of Mimi”?

01/14/05 - Well apparently Parlophone and Jive Records are just a little bit smarter than I thought. Kylie Minogue is currently shooting a video for the AWESOME song “Giving You Up” on her Ultimate Kylie album rumored to be released as a single at the end of March, and Britney Spears has put together a video for her INCREDIBLE song “Do Somethin’” from her My Prerogative: Greatest Hits album after spending months pressuring Jive Records to release the song as a single. Smart move! It’s due for International release very soon.

01/11/05 - Paula Abdul’s long awaited “Video Hits” DVD was finally released today. My opinion: very sad. It’s disappointing. The DVD features only 6 of Paula’s 16 music videos. Coincidentally, the only music videos on the DVD are Paula’s #1 hit singles... in which she only had six. The DVD had been rescheduled for release multiple times. After waiting this long for a DVD with Paula’s videos on it, frankly this is a disappointment.

01/09/05 - Awesome! In January a new TV show debuts on VH1 called “Strange Love” and it features the continuing misadventures of model turned actress Brigitte Nielsen, and her relationship with larger than life rap superstar Flavor Flav. The two entertaining characters on VH1’s last season of The Surreal Life. If only they could work Ryan Starr in for a guest appearance. :)

01/08/05 - Britney's video for the AWESOME song “Do Somethin” is in the final editing stages and is set for an International debut by the end of January.

01/07/05 - As you may already know, I’ve been working from home for the last 6 months building 4 NEW CD-ROM titles for work. Sony duplicated 10,000 copies of each title for us, and today we received them! It’s very satisfying to see your hard work turned into a product that people can buy and use.

01/06/05 - Click Here to read my review of Mark Morrison’s new album titled “Innocent Man”.

01/05/05 - She’s back! Britney Spears thrilled fans in Los Angeles when she turned up unannounced KISS FM to play the demo of what could be her new single. (Let’s hope not, it’s not “single” material). The track is called Mona Lisa. Although she insisted late last year she was taking time off to enjoy married life, Britney has unofficially started work on her next album.

01/01/05 - Happy New Year!

December 2004

12/31/04 - New Years Eve.

11/12/04 - I’m going to see Wanda Sykes today!

11/09/04 - Britney Spears’s Greatest Hits album released today.
I’m assuming this will be the last we hear from Ms. Spears musically since a Greatest Hits CD usually signifies the end of an artists contract with a record label. I hope I’m wrong about this one.

11/03/04 - Thank God! Teresa Heinz Kerry won’t be our First Lady!

11/01/04 - Britney Spears’s “My Prerogative” single is out today.

October 2004

10/29 - 10/31/04 - Going to the beach to relax and hang out with my friend Andrew. I’m so busy right now I have 7 NEW DVD’s that I haven’t even had time to watch yet.

I was thrilled to find “Take A Picture” by Filter. I also found songs by the Gin Blossoms, Third Eye Blind, R.E.M., among others.

10/01/04 - Mount St. Helens, the volcano that blew its top with cataclysmic force in 1980, erupted today, for the first time in 18 years, belching a huge column of white steam and ash after days of rumblings under the mountain.

September 2004

09/29/04 - I love Lee Jean’s “One True Fit” commercial so much. Oh, and I saw my niece today! She’s the cutest baby in the whole world!

09/27/04 - The video for Dannii’s “You Won’t Forget About Me” is out now. It’s ok not as great as the video for “I Begin To Wonder”.

09/25/04 - Britney’s, “Outrageous” single is out today in the UK!

09/24/04 - I was watching “America’s Next Top Model” tonight... and Amy from Ocala, FL was absolutely beautiful. The girls on the show kept trashing her because she’s so thin, which wasn’t very cool. I think she looked great. I also think Cassie from OK is a total hottie too. If I had to pick 3 girls from the 14 picked tonight, I would choose Norelle, Cassie and Eve.

09/23/04 - Avril Lavigne (hottie) is on the cover of this month’s issue of Maxim magazine. There’s also incredible pictures and an article on Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas.

09/20/04 - Dannii Minogue’s first single from her forthcoming fifth studio album is titled “You Won’t Forget About Me” and will become Dannii’s 18th UK single release. (In my opinion it’s ok, but it’s not “I Begin To Wonder” or “Put The Needle On It.”)

09/19/04 - I LOVE WATCHING “THE SURREAL LIFE” ON VH1!
This week’s episode is the best so far!

09/17/04 - I found out that JCA and Dannii Minogue’s single for “Come And Get It” is only available for download on iTunes. Unfortunately, it’s been removed for the US iTunes store and is only available on the German version of iTunes.

09/15/04 - Britney Spears' single "My Prerogative" hits radio today.

09/12/04 - I’m loving “The Surreal Life” on VH1! All I have to say is Ryan Starr in a bikini... hot damn! Now that’s worth watching. Okay, I also think Brigitte Nielsen (Beverly Hill’s Cop) is pretty cool and rapper Flavor Flav is an interesting character.

09/06/04 - Enigma’s single “Boum Boum” is being re-released today in the UK on a new label.

July 2004

07/15/04 - I just heard the Christophe Goze remix of Dannii’s song “Take Me Inside” which is featured on the CD titled “Melbourne - The Sex, The City, The Music”. It’s one of the most beautiful songs I have heard in a long time.

07/10/04 - OMG! I love MTV’s “Room Raiders”. I watched two full hours back-to-back today. Spending the weekend doing manual labor helping my parents install new hardwood floors in their home. Afterwards I took my parents and my sister and her husband met us for Chinese food. Installation continues tomorrow...

07/04/04 - Happy 4th of July!

June 2004

06/28/04 - I’m enjoying watching “For Love or Money 2”. It does an accurate job showing how gullible men can be when it comes to the opposite sex. It also shows how women can be actresses when it comes to love and money. My last girlfriend really had me fooled... Preston has real clouded judgment; the final two girls are in it for money. He should have picked Rebekah.

06/27/04 - My Brother comes home from Iraq for two weeks.

06/11/04 - Working from home through September.
